MLB Network to Televise 2026 Caribbean Series in English Beginning Feb. 1
Get ready for some international baseball action! MLB Network is bringing you the entire 2026 Caribbean Series, starting this Sunday, February 1st. This year's edition, the 68th, features teams from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico, and it's all happening at Estadio Panamericano in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico.
The tournament will consist of 13 live games played over seven days, with Mexico (Green) taking on Puerto Rico on Sunday, February 1st at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the Dominican Republic facing off against Mexico (Red) at 8:30 p.m. ET. From February 2nd to 6th, two live games will be played each day, and the championship game is set for Saturday, February 7th at 8 p.m. ET.
This isn't MLB Network's first time covering the Caribbean Series. They returned last year after previously broadcasting the tournament in 2009 and 2010, the early days of the MLB Network's launch. The network's exclusive coverage of the 2026 Caribbean Series will be available only to viewers in the United States.
The collaboration between MLB Network and the Caribbean Series comes after a multi-year exclusive partnership between the Miami Marlins and the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation for the broadcast rights. As the host site for the Caribbean Series in 2028, the Marlins and loanDepot Park are already a destination for international baseball, with record-breaking success in 2024, including the largest total tournament attendance and the highest single-game attendance.
The 2025 Caribbean Series, the 67th edition, was a thrilling affair. Led by the legendary Albert Pujols, the Leones del Escogido (Dominican Republic) claimed the championship by defeating the Charros de Jalisco (Mexico) in a nail-biting 1-0 game. This victory marked their fifth Caribbean Series win and extended the Dominican Republic's lead in the series' history, with a total of 23 championships.
The Caribbean Series has been a platform for many Hall of Famers and MLB All-Stars since its inception in 1949, including the likes of Rod Carew, Miguel Cabrera, Roberto Clemente, Edgar Martínez, David Ortiz, and Iván Rodríguez. But it's not just about the past; MLB Network has been bringing international baseball to fans across the globe, with broadcasts of the World Baseball Classic in 2009, 2013, and 2017, as well as the MLB Taiwan All-Star Series, Australian League Championship Series, and more. So, mark your calendars and get ready for some exciting international baseball action!
